Welcome!
Please introduce yourself.
Hi, I’m Andrea R. Cooper a wife, mom, writer and a dozen other job titles that go along with a full-time mom and working mom.
- When did you start writing?
I started writing poetry at 14. Then around twenty, writing fizzled out for me with life taking over. Still, I’ve always created characters and stories, but it wasn’t until my early thirties that I started writing as a hobby, and then couldn’t stop J
- What motivates you to write?
The characters. I’m a pantser and though I have an idea of a story and/or character, I don’t have the complete story until I write it. I love discovering the details as I write.
- What genre do you write in and what made you chose this particular genre?
I write in several genres: fantasy/ paranormal romance, historical romance, and romantic
suspense. My favorite is paranormal romance. Ultimately though, it’s the story that I imagine that comes to me first, rather than the genre.
- What is your goal in writing? Do you have dreams where your writing should take you?
My writing goal is to entertain and write a good story. One that readers will want to read more of my writing.
- What motivates you to write?
A story idea. I have to write it to know how everything comes together.
- Do you ever suffer from writer’s block and if yes, how do you deal with it?
I suffer from time. I work full-time and have three kids: two under the age of six – so it’s finding time to write that’s the issue.
- What advice would you like to give new, hopeful authors?
Read, Write, repeat. Join a critique group. Start social media now! Don’t wait until your book is published.
