AJ’s personal message on ‘Girl Boner’-radio

Dear Readers,
.
Writer’s Treasure Chest has become an amazing writer’s blog, and you are the ones who took it to what is is now and hopefully will continue supporting it.
.
Once in a while though I permit myself to throw in a post that’s important to me in a personal way and is not or only indirectly connected to the writer’s world.
.
This is one of them.
.

.
Please let me first introduce you to a wonderful and dear friend of mine who I know for years:
The lovely August McLaughlin, a talented writer, founder of ‘Girl Boner’ and radio host.

Last week we met and she spontaneously invited me to her ‘Girl Boner’ radio show where I got the possibility to briefly address my personal message to as many as possible women out there!
Thank you for this chance August! You rock!

  1. It was so good to hear your voice! Thank you for sharing your message. So many women, and men, share similar experiences. Yet, it is so easy to feel so alone and isolated. Keep the strength and inspiration going!

And thank you to August for your wonderful blog and podcasts. Women (and men) need a real, smart, and truthful voice when it comes to their sexual health and happiness.

  2. It is hard to wear your heart on your sleeve. Bravery is something that we can be glad we are able to summon when needed. Your story is a reminder, AJ, that in this world of easy hook ups, there are demons lurching.
As August mentioned, don’t let embarrassment prevent you from seeking help. You are important enough to owe yourself health, physically and mentally.
People who triumph from belittling another take that importance from you. The road to recovery IS there. Be brave to take the steps. You don’t have to do it alone.
August, I enjoy the program’s you broadcast and the zest for life that has prominent throughout your blog and broadcasts.

I’m getting all the help I need to get past this. I have great supporters, great friends and an amazing family!
