Christmas time, starting the last month of the year
we should think of loved ones, close to us and dear.
We’re supposed to be reflecting our life and heart
and should be planning to be together rather than apart.
**
We should be thinking of what time of the year we’re in
how we acted and behaved, what kind of person we have been.
We should be thinking of the ones who don’t have what we all do
should be trying to support and be helpful, honest and true.
**
And still we don’t, we’re stressing over things like a gift
everything needs to be done, fast and quick and swift.
But isn’t time more precious to the ones we love?
More important is, that’s what I think, a prayer to above.
**
What is the day we celebrate December twenty-fifth,
The birth of a man who truly lived and still ain’t more than myth.
It seems we keep forgetting the bells that day will chime
the end of this wonderful, divine and reflective time.
**
It’s Christmas time, smiles and laughter, a good word, a song
should be in our heart, in our soul soft and still strong.
Enjoy the time, reflect your thoughts on that what’s real and true
inside yourself, be the best you are and you can be, simply, just be you.
