Merry Christmas – 2017

2017 has been a quite reflective and, to a certain degree, a relaxing year in my life. I made progress with my writing, accomplished a lot of things and decided in what direction my future will be heading.

I don’t deny it was hard at times, but this ain’t the first, nor will it be the last time I’m going through rough times.

It was the time I was enjoying, I was grateful, I was annoyed, angry and still, never forgot my humor. It was a time I once again, learned who my true friends are.

I gained so much in 2017!

And once again, I was able to connect with many new people here online. Knowing people better and getting even closer to some followers, friends, writers, supporters, readers and many more.

THANK YOU!

for making this journey a memorable one for me!

Now there’s not much more left to say, except that I wish you and your families:

Happy Thanksgiving 2017

Once again, it’s Thanksgiving, November 23, 2017, a day to be grateful for many things, probably too many to count. But I’ll try it anyway:

What I’m thankful for today:

My health, a bit in my bank account, the bestestest sister on Earth, Good Friends, my Californian Mom, my Freedom, , the chance to travel, my kitties and the opportunity to have them…

A roof over my head, a bed to sleep in, food on the table and coffee in the morning…

My ability to think, to learn from mistakes, my education, having a home, the talent to write, my humor, my safety, the chance to expand my life and move…

My car, sunshine, birds, clean water, my cell phone, books, the chance to go to the doctor when needed, holidays, time, work, entertainment, warm clothes, music…

Flowers, rainbows and tears, snow, all my working senses (yes, including the common sense), my mind, my memory…

Hugs, touches and the sensitivity to cry…

… and of course: life.

Mother’s Day – May 14, 2017

There are so many unique women out there! So many of my friends, readers and followers are wonderful, amazing Mom’s!

For May 14, 2017, Mother’s Day, I wish you ALL:

This is a special day for ALL Moms!!

Seriously… I too occasionally was told by some people: You can’t celebrate Mother’s Day. You’ve never been a Mom. – But of course, I am a Mom! Maybe I never had to change diapers; maybe I never will have to pay for bicycles, car driving, school money and prom clothes.

But I CARE for my babies, as much as every other Mom does. I take them to the doctor to get their vaccines and take them when they’re sick. I make sure they’ve got healthy food, plenty of vitamins, shelter, something to drink and clean whereabouts. I brush them, when it’s necessary and make sure they’ve got good hair and nails. I take them to clean their teeth and keep themselves clean. I LOVE and PROTECT them!! And just because I don’t have to buy them clothes and shoes, and they’ve got tails and four paws, doesn’t mean they’re not my babies.

9 Hot Trends In Publishing In 2017

Nicholas Rossis provides us with an interesting blog post about 9 trends in publishing this year. Thank you, Nicholas.

Nicholas C. Rossis

2017 publishing trends | From the blog of Nicholas C. Rossis, author of science fiction, the Pearseus epic fantasy series and children's books Image: Publishing Executive (pubexec.com)

Written World Media, one of my favorite sources of information on publishing, published earlier this month a post on the trends that will define our industry in 2017 (if you don’t subscribe to its newsletter, you should; it’s free, comes out only once or twice a month, and is filled with tips, tricks, and industry news).

So, what can we expect from 2017? Here are the Written World Media’s predictions:

1. The Majority of Fiction Sales will Come from eBooks

70% of adult fiction sales were digital last year. It is likely that ebook readership will continue to grow in 2017. More eBook readers means more eBook sales. This means that, if you’re writing fiction, promoting your eBooks is a good place to focus in the coming year.

2. Indie Authors and Small Presses will Dominate

In the October 2016 author earnings report we…
