To My Dad

21 years ago exactly on that day

I got the news off horror

that threw me off my way.

My Dad was in an accident

he wasn’t doing well

he needed some heart surgery

a bad night, that much I could tell.

**

Late that night I made a call

Only to hear the worst

I hardly could believe my ears

had problems with that first.

But I got confirmation

that it really has been true

my Daddy’s heart had given up

despair, it washed me through!

**

The greatest Dad, he was no more

his smiles are with him gone.

But still sometimes I see his face

At sunset, at full moon and dawn.

I’ll never forget what you have taught

us then, us kids and too your wife,

the lessons you gave all of us,

we needed for our life.

**

Never will I leave the house

no day will ever start

without a smile and a thought to you

who will always be in my heart!

**

THANK YOU DAD!!

Happy Easter 2018

A Holiday returning only once a year

in spring when warm weather makes us cheer.

We all can laugh and sing and dance

around Easter fires with their warm red flames.

We enjoy the baby chickens with their beep

We watch symbols like the Easter lambs and sheep.

We smile, we tease, we all play funnies

enjoy the chocolates, eggs and Easter bunnies.

Author Don Massenzio published his book “Blood Match” February 2, 2018.

blood match front coverBlood Match, a new thriller by Don Massenzio

You might remember that this book was a Kindle Scout candidate and it performed well lasting on the Hot List for 209 of 720 hours or some part of 11 out of 30 days with over 4,000 views.

Here is a blurb about the book:

Intelligence analyst Jake Balrich boards his Monday morning flight, as he has so many times, for routine field work. When the plane lands, a passenger fails to wake up. Jake soon realizes that the death was not accidental and is part of a murderous plot that will have Jake running for his life as he struggles with an unknown enemy that seems to guess his every move.

Blood Match is a thriller that examines the desire for gaining power with little regard for the human lives that are affected.

Follow Jake Balrich, as he enlists the help…
