Author Spotlight – Butterfly Thomas

Welcome!

Please introduce yourself.
Greetings: my name is Butterfly Thomas

1. When did you start writing?
I started writing in middle school.

2. What motivates you to write?
When I write poetry, the motivation is an intense emotion I needs must express. When I write fiction it’s kinda when the ideas strike me.

3. What genre do you write in and what made you chose this particular genre?
My novel is an urban thriller and I think the idea came to me back when that was my favorite genre. Now, I have an idea for an urban fantasy book and this genre is my new favorite genre.

4. What is your goal in writing? Do you have dreams where your writing should take you?
My goal for my writing is for all my writing, including my poetry, to be world renown. I want everyone to get something from my writing.

5. Do you ever suffer from writer’s block and if yes, how do you deal with it?
Yes, leave it alone and read or listen to music. Basically switch my focus until I can get past the block.

6. What advice would you like to give new, hopeful authors?
Just write. Someone unintentionally gave me that advice and it allowed me to write my first novel in 2 months; though I’d been nursing the idea for 10 years.

7. Please, tell us about your work.
This particular book is an urban thriller. It’s about a young girl who has many obstacles to overcome. While she is facing her demons, her brothers are battling their own. It’s a race to see who will come out the other side.

Thank you for being my guest. It was such a pleasure to have you here!!
Thank you for the opportunity

Butterfly’s Bio:

Guten Tag everybody:
My name is Butterfly Thomas. I was born in Germany, but I wasn’t
there long enough to learn the language. I attempted to take in in
school, but when I went to the Virginia School for the Deaf and Blind
I had to take a foreign language they actually offered. I chose
Spanish, but of course I don’t remember much of that either. Anyway,
fast forward to now I am about to be 34 and this year signifies the
halfway point where I have been blind the same amount of years I have
been sighted.
My day job is a counselor and advocate for people with disabilities.

Interview With Writer Aurora Jean Alexander – On Ari Meghlen’s Blog Today

I was honored to be interviewed by Author Ari Meghlen who published the interview on her blog today. Thank you so much, Ari! I’m truly grateful for all your efforts!

This week’s guest post is an interview with the wonderful Aurora Jean Alexander, paranormal romance writer, and owner of the blog the “Writer’s Treasure Chest”. Enjoy!

Q01 – Tell us a little bit about yourself

I’m doing quite many things, by thinking about it. I work for a government-owned corporation as a part of the management team and travel a lot, as well nationally as also internationally.

Currently, I’m planning to move to a new home, together with my three beautiful active and demanding cats. In my rare free time, I love to play the piano, go skiing or horseback riding, amongst other sports, meet friends or go for walks.

I learned reading and writing at the age of four and realized quite early in my life that I love painting pictures with words. During my school time, I participated in poetry and short story contests which I won quite often.
Later on, I participated in writing and poetry workshops to learn the craft.

Creative and journalistic Writing;’ were some of my favorites during my University time. Part of my poetry I published on my blog ‘Writer’s Treasure Chest.’

I’m working on a series of paranormal romance novels and novellas. Writing fantasy books has always been my dream, and I’m looking forward to sharing my first published work with my audience. The need to write a novel had been nesting in my head for quite some time.

Q02 – What is your dream goal for your writing?

Author Spotlight Brenda Scruggs

Welcome!

1. When did you start writing?

I took journalism in high school, which peeked my interest. I wrote my first book in 2009.

2. What motivates you to write?

I believe the written word can transport a person to a different time, place, and where dreams can come true. It brings the imagination alive experiencing diverse emotion.
I write contemporary and historical romance with a hint of suspense. I enjoy keeping the reader on edge wondering what’s next.

3. What genre do you write in and what made you chose this particular genre?

I write muit-genre’s. But lately, I started a Historical Romance Sage, “Ladies of Entrepreneurship.”
I grew up riding horses, even barrel raced when I was younger, and I love the western era.

4. What is your goal in writing? Do you have dreams where your writing should take you?

With my latest series, I hope to adhere to the want to be Business Woman and inspire them to follow their dreams.

5. Do you ever suffer from writer’s block and if yes, how do you deal with it?

I do sometimes. When that happens, I set my book aside for a few days thinking and pondering on what I’ve written, then thoughts and scenario’s start again.

6. What advice would you like to give new, hopeful authors?

NEVER, NEVER give up. Read, study, and work your craft. Knowledge is something that is never ending.

7. Please, tell us about your work.

I have released the second book of, Ladies of Entrepreneurship, called Sadie’s Mustangs. (Third book out soon).
The Ladies of this saga are Proverbs Thirty-One women. They are women who are business orientated, strong-willed and determined to live the dream that God has placed inside of them. You can follow these women of free enterprise and see how their story unfolds as God secretly works behind the scenes fashioning love together, healing wounds and bringing dreams to life.
Each novel can be read as a standalone book or as a historical saga.

Thank you for being my guest. It was such a pleasure to have you here!!
