It happened… it really did! With great pride I can announce that my blog, ‘Writer’s Treasure Chest’ has passed 100,000 views! This is so exciting.
But, of course I cannot let this celebration pass without telling you all how grateful I am! When I started that blog I didn’t know exactly what to expect. But you all, loyal readers, friends, regular visitors – and the ones finding it by accident… you all made this blogging adventure a wonderful one for me!
There have been some interesting developments in my writing career, among which the fact I’m now Editor-in-chief for Azure Fire Publishing (AFP), a US-based non-profit promoting youth-friendly Fantasy and Science Fiction.
Even though the position only offers a nominal fee at the moment, it comes with a perk: AFP has offered to publish my Fantasy/Science Fiction books.
The organization has a large monthly advertising budget to promote its authors’ books, so, after much deliberation, I have decided to accept.
My Books’ Titles
Perhaps, then, this is the perfect opportunity to deal with something that’s been bugging me for a while now: my first books’ titles. I find myself no longer satisfied by “Rise of the Prince” and “The Power of Six,” as I think of them as weak titles compared to my later ones. And since AFP will soon handle these…
…there are many ‘firsts’ that occur in most of our lives… f’rinstance I remember my first kiss… it was more of a slobbery lick from my twice-the-size-of-me pet dog when I was about 5 years old… and it turned me off the idea of canine romance forever, I can tell yeez… my first day at primary school… as part of a howling choir of sobbing infants who wailed in concert at the mass departure of our mothers at the school gates…
…my first football team goal at the age of six… the ball hammered home from all of seven inches, attended by the triumphant raised arm a la Denis Law as I wheeled to trot back to the centre circle restart… my first monthly pay packet as a green fifteen year old Trainee Master of the Financial Universe at the noble Clydesdale & North of Scotland…

Last task: 7 things about me
One of the best books on Earth due to critics, is James Clavell’s “Shogun”. And I can only agree.
I can’t stand Mexican food – and I’m not sure why…
I’m extremely scared of spiders. No snake ever scares me as badly as the smallest spider does.
My birth stone is garnet. But my favorite gemstone is sapphire.
I thought at a certain age once can’t fall in love as intensely anymore as with fifteen, when a break up threatened to kill. Recently I found out I was wrong.
I love cats. The bigger, the better. I’d have a tiger if I could. Since that’s not possible, I’ll stay with Maine Coons.
I love flowers. For some reason my favorite flower is not the red rose as it is for many women, it is the yellow lily.
Feel free to share seven facts about yourself, even if you have not been nominated this time. I would love to read some of your answers. Sorry I couldn’t nominate all my followers and blog friends!
