End Of Lent – 2017

I have to say, I celebrated the end of the Lenten period by showing myself extremely generous.

a) I helped a little friend of mine to generously apply something similar like sunscreen all over him.

b) I permitted him to relax all day and significantly cool down before offering him more fun

c) I gave that same little friend of mine a free sauna visit

d) Then my little friend got some more time to relax before finally I permitted him to serve his big purpose…

Let me introduce me to my little friend BEFORE my generosity:

And just before he served his purpose: to feed me. 🙂

This, for today, is how I celebrate tomorrow’s Easter Holiday.

I do wish you, my dear loyal followers, readers, commenters, friends and all your loved ones and families:

Thanksgiving 2016

Thanksgiving is traditionally a day to say grace, to be grateful, to say ‘Thank you’ for the blessings. And again, this year that’s what I’d like to do.

I’m saying thanks for:

  • … my family and friends
  • … my chance to do what I love doing
  • … my luck to have food on the table every single day
  • … my writer friends
  • … my supporters here in the writing world
  • … my progress in writing
  • … my finished novella
  • … my ideas for future novellas in the series
  • … my blog
  • … and every single follower, reader and commenter on here who makes this blog such a wonderful journey for me.

THANK YOU ALL!!

The Influence of Followers: Would You Still Blog if You Didn’t Have Them?

Jenny of “Jenny in Neverland” published a very interesting view on blogs and followers. I thought I’d reblog and give as many readers as possible a chance to let their opinion hear about this. Thank you Jenny.

Jenny in Neverland

Having followers and readers is great. I won’t lie. When I started my blog, although I loved writing book reviews and enjoyed it immensely, I would often dream about having a decent amount of followers who I could get to know, exchange comments with and build a rapport with. I would grow green with envy at the bloggers who had hundreds, sometimes thousands of followers. Who would receive comment after comment on their latest post and who would constantly be chatting to people all over the blogosphere. I realised that although I loved writing and reading – followers were something I wanted too.

Welcome to the “Writer’s Treasure Chest”

Welcome-2

A big welcome!

Please, let me thank the ones who are already following this blog, even though there had not been any formal introduction yet. I am going to catch up on this:

I am Aurora Jean Alexander, Author. As shown on the “About” page I am working on my first novel after writing short stories, poems and other creative pieces in the past. Hopefully I will be able to present a few pieces of my writing before the novel will be released.

I started to blog because I found in the past reading-years that so many excellent authors are out there. Maybe they aren’t famous and their names aren’t known, but I personally think their stories need to be told and are amazing. So many gifted authors should be introduced to the public and I plan to do whatever possible to make this spotlight wider.

This blog is supposed to become a meeting point to authors, writers, readers, reviewers and people who enjoy finding hidden treasures within the writing world.

Writer’s Treasure Chest is about books I found by chance and others that are introduced to me. I will publish and re-blog reviews if possible and will be part in as many blog tours as possible.

There will be interviews with featured authors and interesting blog posts of all kinds.

I will try to post about fascinating and helpful subjects and of course love to hear from as many people as possible to publish guest posts. (Please use the contact form on the top of the page or on the right side for interviews, blog tours, guest posts and feedback.)

As so many other bloggers I too encourage readers to comment and love reading them (preferably positive ones. *smirk*)  And of course I love to see as many of my blog posts being shared as often as possible. I have added different share-buttons like LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Google and many more… You will make me happy using them.

And now only one more thing is left to say:

Welcome to the Writer’s Treasure Chest!

It is a pleasure to have you here!!

Aurora Jean Alexander
