Lee Foster on ‘The Book Designer’ provides us with information about publishing our ebooks on Smashwords and how it’s changing. Thank you very much Lee!
This is a third and final perspective in my publishing strategy trilogy, a drama festival with three events, Amazon and Ingram being the earlier performances. There have been five-week breaks between these theatrics as I proceed in the Joel Friedlander modern publishing ecosystem.
If you want to distribute your ebook through Amazon directly and then also to “every ebook vendor beyond Amazon,” how should you do it? Smashwords is my recommended choice.
Last month WordPress told me that I had published my 1,000th blog post on ‘Writer’s Treasure Chest.’
Another achievement in my blogging life has been accomplished.
I don’t deny I’m quite proud of this one. 1,000 blog posts over roughly three years are something. But then, I have to say:
Part of these blog posts aren’t mine – they are YOURS!
I built ‘Writer’s Treasure Chest’ as a writer’s blog, and that’s how it grew. With your help, it became what it is now, and I hope, of course, it will further grow. But without your help, this wouldn’t have been working out.
The Author Spotlights, the re-blogs, the guest posts, the blog tours, the promotions, that wasn’t my work, it was yours!
Thanks so much for your work, for permitting me to re-blog, to pingback, to promote, to interview you! Thanks for making my blog a wonderful experience. Thank you for your help!

Type your message into the text box and hit Post and your message will be visible on…
I launched a new blog the other day that’s dedicated to publishing honest and positive reviews of books I’ve featured on this blog, Reading Recommendations. Today I created a page with information about the blog and how to get your reviews posted on it. Please read About Reading Recommendations Reviewed and send me your reviews for future consideration.

What does writing mean to me?
I started reading at a very young age. In many ways reading wonderful and mysterious stories was something to tickle and develop my fantasy. One day I read a book I never forgot. That day I felt the need to write stories. I wanted to create people, tell their stories, and build worlds and adventures. I one day wanted to write a book telling…
I personally think it’s important that we do share this with our upcoming new authors. Being one of them myself it scared me half to death. But hearing the truth – and reading this list is still important – and it leaves me a choice. Do I want to continue? Or do I just look out for another dream?
