The day is hot, the air to shimmer
Rocks ‘n ground and water simmer.
The crop in fields it’s standing high
wheat and corn and also rye.
**
The sun is burning pretty strong
And even though we get along
Still the burning heat I flee
Seek shelter under one wide tree.
**
Life is nourished by the sun
Nature grows, it’s always done.
Especially during summertime
It feels harmonic and to chime
**
Birds and animals, they grow
In fall they’re gone, as we all know.
Time it moves, all seasons do
We all are caught within this queue.
**
The constant circle of all life
It shows itself within this strive.
A time to come and one to end
We do improve – and always mend.

I like your poetry, Aurora. It’s real poetry, not the stuff many write these days and call poetry–just prose split up into lines.
